Eric Russell is a NY - SLC based Director of Commercial Photography and Film. Over the years, his background in Advertising combined with almost two decades of production experience has become a valuable asset for his clients, as well as the productions and crews he works with. Eric's work has been featured in many traditional and new media campaigns, including work on accounts such as Hilton (Waldorf Astoria), BMW, Pepsi, NuSkin, Select Health, and The Killers to name a few. While his studio is located in SLC, Utah, Eric splits his time between Salt Lake, New York and traveling on national assignments throughout the country. Eric specializes in architectural, portraiture, food & restaurant, lifestyle and automotive still work and as a Director of Photography for motion picture productions. On set, Eric is tenured and tireless, and has the pre-production organization and quick eye to maximize production budgets. This energy translates seamlessly into his post production work where Eric still today does much of the post grading and optimization of his work. Eric loves his 'work'. Even on his off days, you'll still see him, camera in hand documenting the world around him including the personal travel, skiing, mountain and road biking he does - much of which is done with his son and sidekick Preston.

I specialize in professional photography with an emphisis on developing fine images designed to make your ideas "pop" in print and electronic media. My subjects range from billion-dollar business parks celebrities, resorts to restaurants, entire cities and things that go crash, boom and bang. On the technical side, work ranges from industrial prototyping to museum inventory images demanding the highest level of color accuracy and scale. My work appears in global publicatons, top secret publications, and things you throw away daily. I shoot company events too, but I won't shoot your wedding . . .

I was born in Wisconsin and raised amongst the cows and mountains in Southwestern Idaho. I'm passionate about snow skiing, and I'm one of the lucky few that happen to know exactly what a real Idaho Spud is. I gave up my drums, rock bands, and other curious interests to focus on photography full time. I am an honors graduate from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. I have lived and worked in New York, Seattle, Europe, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. I’m currently settled in Fox Point, spending my free time with the most beautiful woman I've ever known, her two boys, my daughter, and Fu the cat.
