Printed Media Marketing is DEAD!?

This is not supposed to be as serious as the topic makes it sound, and I honestly don't even know if I will be the only post on here, but where are we headed (not BPC as a company)? Where is the digital print industry headed? Where is printed marketing headed?
Everyone talks about print books and micro-publishing so I have to say that printing in general is not dead. But it seems like everyone is trying to push online marketing as if a revolution is occurring in the digisphere. I can't be convinced so easily that companies will stop advertising in stores through posters, stickers, signs, tees, graphics, etc. because that would be suicide. I think the interweb digital revolution is only one more way for companies to display their products and ad muscles to you - the all powerful consumer.
