Man what a week it's been. We've been busy doing a bunch of stuff and junk. We imagine you've been equally busy doing other stuff and junk. This weekend we're mandating rest and relaxation (with a 20% chance of getting rad). Thanks for dropping by the site, leaving comments, sending tweets and emails, and sending news our way. We appreciate what you do. Now go on get out of here. Enjoy your weekend. We'll be back at it on Monday. Be safe out there.
We're going to get a little taste of this over the weekend. That's a foregone fact.
William Shatner has had a long run as Priceline's spokesperson. He delivered the gospel of savings in his very Shatner way, and we loved him for it. Priceline has decided to end the long running relationship. And they gave Shatner a proper send off with the final Negotiator spot.
We attended The One Show presentation yesterday in SLC. The work was impressive, but we were a bit concerned by the lack of creatives in attendance. We met a lot of planners, strategists, a Yesco rep (huh?), and a ton of account people. The whole experience got us thinking "Are events like this helpful? Are they even worth attending?" We think they are. But what do you guys think? Helpful or wasteful?
Sorry for the late notice. Illustrator and rad guy extraordinaire, Dan Christofferson will be speaking tonight at Weber in the Lindquist Lecture Hall. The lecture starts at 6:30. Check the details here. http://www.facebook.com/events/178305835603547/?context=create
Onyx is an iOS app that allows you to build custom color schemes. Plus it's freaking gorgeous. We were unfamiliar with Ender Labs until they dropped us a note yesterday. But we'll be keeping our eye on them from now on. Check out the app in the App Store.
Kevin Pearce is a fantastic snowboarder. He suffered a horrific injury in Park City while training for the Olympics and hasn't been able to ride since. This season is his first back on the mountain and we're stoked to see him out and about. This Bing spot really hit our sweet spot.
The Nike Fuel Band has us seriously interested. Nike + has been a great platform for runners, and the Fuel Band expands the scope to just about everyone. Great idea, great potential, and a pretty great sizzle piece to kick things off.
A Bountiful chap posted a video of cars sliding down a snow covered, slick as hell 400 North, and it has garnered over 400,000 views on YouTube. We are stoked on the new snow, but we're not stoked on the morons we have to contend with on our morning commutes.
McCann SLC just launched a new campaign for the Digital Advertising Alliance. The campaign's goal is to educate the general public about online advertising. McCann SLC did the work pro bono and it's actually a nice little campaign.
We showed you a taste of what Super Top Secret was cooking up for Powder Mountain this year. Well they just posted a series of new billboards and they are excellent.
Sawaya Consulting is looking for a freelance Android Developer. So when you get a minute between sampling some of the finest pow pow that Mother Nature dumped on us over the weekend, head over to the Jobs Page and check it out.
